The Theme was Pentecost
when we learnt about the coming of
the Holy Spirit
Some of the work of the Crafty Kids showing the
coming of the Spirit in tongues of fire:

DURING THE SEASON OF LENT INSTEAD OF 'GIVING UP' SOMETHING FOR LENT OUR CRAFTY KIDS 'TOOK ON' SOMETHING' -
THE IDEA OF 40 DAYS AND 40 TINS WAS BORN.
THE IDEA WAS TAKEN UP BY THE WHOLE PARISH
THEY COLLECTED 1 TIN PER DAY AND THEN BROUGHT 40 TINS TO THE CHURCH DURING LENT.
WHILST TINNED FOOD IS THE FIRST THING ONE THINKS OF THESE ITEMS ALSO INCLUDED PERSONAL HYGIENE GOODS OR THINGS TAILORED TOWARDS YOUNGER CHILDREN.
THESE WERE GIVEN AS A GIFT FROM THE ST SAVIOUR'S CHURCH
TO THOSE IN NEED, THROUGH THE RAINBOW CENTRE.
